Cody
Lundin grew up immersed in the natural world; from the Pacific Coastline
and the hills of Europe, to the plains of the Rocky Mountains and the
desert canyons of the Southwest. His expertise in practical outdoor skills
comes from a lifetime of personal experience, including two years spent
living in a brush shelter in the woods where he slept on pine needles
and cooked over an open fire.
As a result of his passion and dedication,
Cody and his school have been featured in dozens of national and international
media sources including The Today Show, The Discovery Channel, The
History Channel, Dateline NBC, CBS News, USA Today, The
Donny and Marie Show and CBC Radio One in Canada. In September,
1999, Cody was honored as the third person in history to appear on the
cover of Backpacker magazine, which featured a story on his skills
and philosophies of survival. (complete media achievements for Cody)
When not teaching for his own school, Cody is an adjunct faculty member at Yavapai College and a faculty member at the Ecosa Institute. He teaches with rare intensity and humor to individuals, schools, colleges, universities and various organizations throughout the United States. Cody is the author of the best-selling book, 98.6 Degrees: The Art of Keeping Your Ass Alive! and holds a BA in Depth Psychology and Holistic Health. His new book on urban preparedness, When All Hell Breaks Loose: Stuff You Need To Survive When Disaster Strikes, sold out its first printing of nearly 10,000 copies in less than three weeks.
Cody currently lives in a self-reliant, passive solar earth home of his own design in the high-desert back country of Northern Arizona.
He founded the Aboriginal Living Skills School, LLC (ALSS, LLC) in 1991 in Prescott, Arizona.
